My husband and I went to college with Kat, so we both thought we knew she had the perfect easy-going personality to be an incredible photographer… but she BLEW. US. AWAY. (Not to mention the actual photos, but I’ll get to that later).
Let me start by saying that our family is nothing short of wild, unpredictable, and messy right now. With a 2 year old & 5 month old it feels like we are constantly living in crazy town, so when Kat approached us about family photos it was ALMOST impossible to wrap our heads around… but our hope of obtaining (even one) decent photo of our family was enough to jump at the opportunity. And let me just say, it was the BEST decision we’ve made in a long time.
Not only did we walk away with more INCREDIBLE photos than we ever dreamed of, but it was also- wait for it- WONDERFUL. Yes. With 2 babies, it was actually an enjoyable and relaxed experience. I give us zero credit for that. We showed up with 2 babies in diapers, 2 stressed out parents, and bedtime quickly approaching. After wrangling the girls into their outfits and quickly applying makeup in the car, Kat took it from there. Everything about her is relaxed and comfortable. I watched the stress levels of the family melt away as Kat told us to just walk around and do whatever we might normally do as a family- not to even think about posing or trying to get 2 babies to smile at the camera… and the results? Well. They left us speechless.
Kat captured our family EXACTLY as we are right in this moment of time - and I wouldn’t trade the beautiful way that she captured those moments for anything. She has such an eye for getting the type of photos that show the absolute angelic side to our very grumpy baby, but also embracing her mad face and somehow turning it into a beautiful focal point of my favorite family photo. She captured small moments between sisters, and our toddler touching daddy’s beard and nuzzling into his shoulder (as she so often does in real life). I could go on and on, but I think you get the point. It wasn’t fake, it wasn’t forced, it wasn’t posed- it was US. The photos we walked away with will FOREVER be hanging in our home, and reminding us - so beautifully- of this imperfectly perfect moment in time.
We walked away from our experience with Kat feeling relaxed… and just happy. But the memories she captured for us are truly irreplaceable. I urge you to hire her, yesterday. You can thank me later.

I absolutely loved how our maternity shoot turned out with Kat! She achieved my exact vision of a cozy, intimate vibe. I am always a little unsure of myself when taking pictures and Kat kept me comfortable and laughing and guided me through the whole thing. I will definitely be coming back to her to capture future life moments!

Whether you’re wanting an intimate couples’ session, a fun family photoshoot, or something in-between, Kat is absolutely the photographer for you! I had been wanting to get pictures done with my husband and dogs for years, but never actually booked anything. When we found out we were pregnant, I knew it was time to schedule pictures and use the photos to tell our friends and family about the pregnancy. On the day of the actual photos, she continuously talked to us to make sure we were enjoying the process and comfortable. Kat made me feel confident, comfortable, and excited the whole time. She truly cares about the people she works with and wants to capture pictures that truly represent them. We took a lot of un-posed pictures, but even some of the posed pictures that we took looked so natural, un-posed, and absolutely stunning! Kat knew how to judge the sunlight and our surroundings to give us the most incredible pictures. She also flawlessly managed to get couples’ shots while wrangling and holding our German Shepherd and sheltie dogs, too, which is no small feat. All of the pictures look like they belong on Pinterest and I am so, so happy to have them as a memory of our pregnancy announcement. Kat is the kind of person who will do whatever it takes – even if it means getting into a field of cacti – to get the perfect pictures for you and because of that, she is one of the best photographers I have ever met. Without a doubt, she is the only photographer I ever want to use!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Kat and KT Photography. She completely exceeded my expectations across the board. First, we spent a fair amount of time discussing what I was looking for with my family photos, i.e. locations, time of shoot, poses, outfits, etc. She guided me along every step of the way and had several great suggestions! I was even able to get her help on selecting potential outfits! I wanted to look nice and somewhat coordinated, but not too matchy-matchy. I am so thankful for her help with this!
Second, Kat was amazing with my kids. I was nervous about them not cooperating, but Kat was a total pro and worked so well with them. She was very creative with where/how to take the pictures and was really able to capture their personalities to perfection. After the first few minutes, I was totally at ease and had no concerns that it was going to be a great experience. She was even giving my kids piggyback rides between pictures.
When I received the photos, I was floored. Literally floored. In a short amount of time, Kat was able to really capture all the love and fun that my family has for one another/together. The photos looked so natural and were so well composed. I literally cried when I looked at them. Kat is an amazingly talented photographer and I would definitely use her as a photographer again.

Kat was wonderful to work with. She has a natural eye for photography and she was so patient working with our four young kids. Our photos are beautiful and capture our family and our personalities so well. I would highly recommend working with her!

To say that we enjoyed our experience with Kat would be an understatement. Kat took us to a beautiful lake in Colorado to take our engagement photos. We are from Nashville and didn't know the area well, so she was helpful about finding a perfect spot to take pictures.
Not only did we have a blast with her but our photos turned out better than I ever had anticipated. She captured perfect moments between me and my fiancé. She was so kind, patient and helpful throughout the entire shoot. She knew all the best angles and gave us perfect direction.
Another important thing to note: Kat was so easy to keep in touch with after our photoshoot. She got us our pictures in a timely manner and was so kind throughout the whole process.
