I loved this shoot for many reasons. It was my first family shoot. Katie and Jamie are friends of mine from college (GO VOLS), and it was the first time I had seen them in several years, including the first time I was meeting their kiddos. It was also the beginning of a post-COVID world, so I relished seeing everybody in person instead of through a screen. But the thing I loved most about this shoot was the realness. With a 2 year old and a 5 month old, there's not much control or time for posed pictures, so what you see is what you get. Attention spans are short, wake windows are small and fleeting, and bellies are itty bitty. And even with everything going on, the love this mama has for her family and the love that the dad has for all of his girls was so evident and so easy to capture that everything else fell to the wayside.
